Learning outcomes: After completing the course, a student

• Knows the main features of the history of deacon from European and Finnish aspects
• Is able to critically estimate the meaning of deacons in Finnish church history
• Understands changes in diaconal history and is able to explain their significance

The student is familiarized with the theme through literature
